Super Stretchy Essential Oil Slime Recipe

This super stretchy essential oil slime recipe is fun and easy to make with glue, contact lens solution, baking soda, essential oils and food coloring. It will stretch across the room without breaking and isn’t sticky!

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Get a bowl that’s about 2 cups.
  2. Put the glue in the bowl.
  3. Sprinkle glue with baking soda.
  4. Mix completely with a spoon.
  5. Add food coloring and essential oils and mix it in completely.
  6. Start adding a few drops of the contact solution and mix with the spoon. Just do it a few drops at a time.
  7. Continue adding a few drops, mixing it thoroughly. Repeat until it starts to pull into a stringy ball.
  8. Put some contact solution on your hands.
  9. Pick up the slime and start kneading and mixing it with your hands. It will be sticky, but only through working it will you get the best, stretchy slime. Work it really well. It will change into a better slime consistency as you work it.
  10. If it is still sticky after a few minutes of kneading, add one or two drops of buffered saline. Continue working it in. Don’t add too much or you will start to lose the stretchy properties and it will become more prone to breaking. If you find your slime is breaking, you are adding too much saline.
  11. Have fun playing with it for hours!
  12. Store it in an airtight container

Notes

I am sure this is toxic when ingested. Make sure to supervise children while playing. In this recipe, you cannot omit any ingredients.

If you have sensitive skin, wear gloves while playing with the slime. Always wash hands before and after use.  If you notice any skin irritation discontinue use immediately.

The amount of contact lens solution is a total guess and the amount you need will depend on many factors.
