doTERRA has several products to support healthy blood sugar levels that are already in the normal range. I think that steady blood sugars should be a goal for everyone. When your blood sugar levels are in the normal range, you not only look better, but you feel better. Here are some tips I use to keep my blood sugar in the normal range:
Eat a diet high in Protein, Carbs, and Healthy Fats
If you want to really support your blood sugar, I recommend looking at the Paleo diet, if you haven’t already. It’s focus on grass-fed, pasture-raised meats, lots of veggies and fruit and healthy fats is very good at keeping blood sugars in a healthy range. As for carbs, the Paleo diet focuses on carbs from veggies, nuts and fruits. If you don’t want to do the Paleo diet, keep your carb consumption on the low side and focus on complex carbs. That means limit sugar consumption. If your blood sugar in in the normal range, you may be able to eat a little sugar, but try to keep it to a minimum and as natural as possible. Interval Training (HIIT)
Exercise is important to keep your body functioning properly. Studies have shown that interval training can be very beneficial to support healthy blood sugar levels. What do I mean by interval training? Focus on short bursts of intense working out with moderate exercise in-between. Burst training is another term for this type of exercise.
Get Enough Vitamins and Minerals
Many people are deficient in vitamins and minerals and don’t even know it. Minerals, such as chromium and magnesium are essential to keeping blood sugars in the normal range. Even if you eat a perfect diet, the soil is so depleted in the United States, that it’s really hard to get enough nutrition from food alone. To combat this, I recommend doTERRA’s Lifelong Vitality Pack.
Essential Oils to Support Healthy Blood Sugar Levels
If you want even more support, consider trying one or several of the following essential oils to support healthy blood sugar levels already in the normal range. A general dosage would be 2 drops in a veggie cap three times a day. Of course, this is just a place to start and the dosage can be adjusted as needed. Don’t be afraid to try one essential oil at a time and see if you notice a difference. If you notice improvement, continue taking it and adjust the dosage as needed. If you don’t notice a benefit, try another essential oil until you find one that works the best for you (and costs the least).
