I had Oregeno in my LRP cart, but just went and deleted it and changed it to the GX Assist instead, thanks to your suggestion! I wanted to have it around in case I ever felt like I was coming down with something! Just don’t think I could handle the burning sensation!
I have to share my oil of oregano experience. I’ve been using oil of oregano for almost 20 years, 2 drops under my tongue whenever I feel like I’m feeling unwell. I have always taken Oreganol P73. I just signed up with doTerra a month ago and finally got to try oregano today. In the Modern Essentials book it says to place 1-2 drops under the tongue so I did! Holy mother of God! I chased it with a sweet drink like I always do and it was like pouring fuel on a fire. I tried to drink water but nothing helped. I grabbed my toothbrush and natural toothpaste and tried to brush it off…if felt like nothing I’ve ever felt before. I think if someone tried to rip my tongue out of my mouth that’s what it would feel like. All under my tongue and the back of my throat is burnt. I am now officially afraid of it!
Oregano essential oil, especially doTERRA’s is INSANELY strong. To use it for something like that, I make up “oil of oregano” by adding about 1 drop of oregano oil to 10 drops of a carrier oil, like olive oil or coconut oil. It still burns like crazy. I put it under my tongue for a few seconds until I can’t stand the burn anymore then swallow it being careful not to let it touch the tip of my tongue. If it touches the tip if your tongue, it can cause you to lose your sense of taste for a few days. I only do this when I am really desperate. Luckily, I haven’t had to do it for a year or two. Instead, I prefer to get my oregano oil either in GX Assist or the On Guard + softgels now. You get the benefit without the burning!
