When was the last time you cleaned your mattress? Have you ever cleaned your mattress? It may be time . . ..

What You Need:

1 cup baking soda (enough for a queen size mattress)

10  drops dōTERRA essential oil (such as lavender, eucalyptus, peppermint, clove or rosemary)

Mason jar with lid

Sifter

Vacuum

How to Clean Your Mattress:

1- Remove bed linens and wash them in hot water.

3- Put the baking soda mixture into the sifter and sift across your mattress. (You may need to double your baking soda mixture depending on the size of your mattress).

4- Leave the mixture on your mattress for at least an hour. The longer you leave it, the better the results.

5- Once the mixture has been on the mattress for at least an hour, use your vacuum hose to remove the mixture from the mattress.

6- Make your bed with clean sheets and enjoy the fresh smell of your mattress. Repeat every 2-3 months, or as often as needed.

Bonus: To deep clean your carpet or upholstered furniture, mix together the baking soda and essential oils and sift onto whatever area you are cleaning. Let it sit for at least one hour and then vacuum. It’s easy—and effective!

About Best Essential Oils

My husband and I have been using natural solutions since before we were married, so when we were introduced to doTERRA essential oils about seven years ago it didn’t take long before we were addicted! We love how pure and potent they are.

We started this blog so we could share our experiences and you could learn all about doTERRA essential oils too!

I also blog at MyNaturalFamily.com.

    Hi Rebecca,
Is it possible to visit a farm where the oils are harvested? I would like to see, know and understand the process of which the oils are created.

This explains how doTERRA doesn’t own any of the farms but has exclusive agreements so they aren’t really set up for visits – https://www.doterra.com/US/en/difference-global-botanical-network
