Uses and Product Description
An exceptional addition to the resinous oils doTERRA offers, Copaiba is extracted from copaiba trees in the Amazon rainforest. The essential oil is steam distilled from the copaiba oleoresin, a substance made up of resin and essential oils. The collection process of the oleoresin is unique among essential oils—it is tapped from the tree in a similar way to how maple trees are for their syrup. The oleoresin is then steam distilled to produce the essential oil.
Copaiba can help soothe anxious feelings and it can be applied to the skin to promote a clear, smooth complexion. Taken internally, Copaiba essential oil supports the health of the cardiovascular, immune, digestive, nervous, and respiratory systems.* Although Copaiba does not contain cannabinoids, the main component caryophyllene may be neuroprotective and have cardiovascular and immune benefits.* It’s also a powerful antioxidant that promotes immune health.*
Copaiba’s main chemical component is beta-caryophyllene, a chemical similar to cannabinoids found in cannabis that may protect nerve cells and have benefits for the cardiovascular and immune systems.* Learn more about beta-caryophyllene here.
Copaiba is a unique blend of four different Copaifera species. The reason why doTERRA combines the four individual species is that it increases the therapeutic potential, potency, and diversity of the potency. This is very unique to doTERRA.

I just want to be clear that Cannabis is not addictive. And CBD has NO psychoactive effect on the body so it doesn’t “get you high” like this post states. Spreading a lot of negative misinformation here..
I’m confused. I’m well aware that cannabis is not addictive and do not state that it is in the post. Maybe you thought it was implied? If I said that, please show me where so I can fix it. Pretty much the only thing I say about Cannabis is that it has 35% BCP.
I am a medicinal marijuana oil user for arthritis…can Iuse this oil even though I consume .5 ml to 1 ml of medical marijuana oils daily ?
I’m 90% sure you should be fine since they aren’t the same thing really at all. They both have BCP, but Copaiba isn’t addictive. I emailed doTERRA to see what they said and they said to tell you to contact your doctor. Sorry I’m not more helpful.
Does this oil contain anything that would cause someone to show positive for a drug test? My job is very strict and I cannot use any product that would result in a positive drug urinalysis.
I really doubt it, but you could email [email protected] and make sure.
