Why Didn’t I Get My doTERRA Commission Check? That’s a good question. First of all, I’m so sorry. Not getting the money you were expecting for working hard really stinks. It actually happened to me once. I’m not sure if doTERRA still does this, but at the time they had a one-time exception policy and they reviewed my account and cut me a check. Boy! I made sure that never happened again.
I want to make sure that doesn’t ever happen to you, or if it has already, that you at least understand why, so you can prevent it from happening again. In order for you to get paid your doTERRA commission check, you need to be able to answer yes to all the following questions. Please carefully go through the list and make sure you can.
Fast Start Bonus (the 20% you get for the first 60 days after someone signs up)
- I am signed up for LRP.
- I placed at least one 100PV order in the month I was hoping to get commissions for. Multiple orders that add up to 100PV do not count. OR I signed up for doTERRA this month and have an LRP template over 100PV
- My LRP template is over 100PV. This means if you place an LRP order for less than 100PV, then right after the order processes, you need to edit your LRP template so it’s over 100PV.
- The person I enrolled hasn’t been signed up before and isn’t a retail customer.
- The person I want to get paid a Fast Start Bonus on I either enrolled myself or is no more than two enroller levels under me (dynamic compression does not apply).
- I have waited long enough. Fast Start bonuses are paid every Wednesday for enrollments that occurred since the last check run. Read more about the Fast Start Bonus here.

Unilevel (Earn 2% Just On The Level Right Below You)
- I am signed up for LRP.
- I placed at least one 50PV order in the month I was hoping to get commissions for. Multiple orders that add up to 50PV do not count.
- The person I am hoping to be paid a Unilevel commission on has been signed up for least 60 days (since you can’t be paid both Fast Start and Unilevel at the same time)
- I have waited long enough. Unilevel commissions are paid on the 14-16th of the month after they are earned. So January commissions are paid about February 15th. Read more here.

Universal doTERRA commission Questions
- Did anyone under you actually place any orders? (I know. Obvious, but it would be a reason to not be paid)
- Do you have a minimum amount set with doTERRA so they don’t pay you tons of tiny checks and lots of little fees? (It is possible to do this, if you didn’t know – or to set up direct deposit. Both are a good way to save on fees and time).
- Do they have the current address? Maybe you have a different address for packages than for checks or your recently moved and just haven’t received your check. Another good reason to do direct deposit . . .
- Does doTERRA have your social security number? If you didn’t give it to them when you signed up, once you hit $350 in earning or $4,000 in purchases, you will be sent an automated email informing you that you must provide your SSN for 1099 purposes. If you don’t provide your SSN and hit $00 in earning or $4,000 in purchases, you will be placed on the “Restricted AR” list and won’t be able to receive a commission, point or product until you give them your SSN.
